Tioga County Chapter of Project Linus

Giving comfort blankets to seriously ill or traumatized children

How you can help

  • tell your friends and family about Project Linus
  • if you attend church or any other organization that does community service, pick up an information packet to take with you (information packets are available at our monthly meetings or by request)
  • become a contact person for your town (see below for more info)
  • make blankets, knitted, croched, tied, or quilted (materials and kits are availablel!)
  • attend monthly meetings at the Candor Ambulance building (1:30pm, second Saturday of the month, 58 Main Street)
  • donate materials or money, see wish list (all donations are tax deductible, just ask for a receipt)

Become a contact person for your town! As a contact person, you would do the following:

  • pick up donations from people in your town
  • request Linus blankets from Stella for children in your town that would benefit from one
  • contact your ambulance garage (and other suitable agencies) to see if they could use/distribute Linus blankets

The time commitment as a contact person is minimal and the rewards are priceless. If you would like to become a contact person for your town, please let Stella know.
